Here's a little bit of the family to get you started. Darwin and I have been married for 18 years and we have 6 kids. We live in Overland Park, KS and we actually are very happy here. I never thought in a million years that I'd be living in Kansas and that I'd love it, but life is funny you really never know do you? Here's where we will begin, with the kids.
Karly is our oldest. She'll be 18 in May and is a Senior at Shawnee Missioin South High School. She is very active in church and is a great example to her friends and her sisters as to what a young woman her age should be. We are very proud of her!! Karly has a part-time job at Macaroni Grill and works very hard!! She's adored by all her co-workers and friends.
Kelsey is 14 and a Freshman, she plays softball for the city of Overland Park; she's played for the last 3 years and will be trying out in the Spring for the highschool team. Kelsey is our sarcastic and funny one, her sense of humor developed at too early of an age, when she would see humor in things kids her age just didn't get. Don't know who she gets that from. She is also the best babysitter for the younger 2 kids too. Kelsey loves them and they both love her.
Kameron is he only boy in a family of girls. He's 13 and is in the 8th grade. He's also very active in church and does a lot with the boys from the ward and a lot of scout activities too. He loves football and basketball.
This is Kiley, she is almost 4 and a very bright spot in the family. After 10 long years of what we thought "being done having kids". We chose to add to our family. We have never regretted this choice she if smart and funny, so full of love. She was spoiled rotten until our last little angel arrived. Kiley had to realize the the sun didn't rise and set on her every whim...she is still adjusting. Never was a baby so adored as Kiley. I think Kaylie thinks she is hers sometimes.
Now here is the final child added to the Barnum clan, she is Keeley turned 1 in April. She is so funny and cute, she likes to be the center of attention. She loves food, never wanted the baby food, she wanted whatever it is you're having. She is the light of Kelsey's life, she misses Kelsey when she's at school and if I'm not here, Kelsey is the one she wants to get her ready for bed and to take care of her.
That's where I'll leave it for now. These are my brightest and greatest accomplishments of my life this far. I turned 40 in April and I'm not the least bit sad about it. I have a wonderful husband who still loves and adores me. I have 6 great kids who are a huge help to one another when we need them to be. Life is good, and I am blessed.
